”Your Worship, Magistrate Salionga,
Fellow Honourable Councillors,
Our CEO, Mr. Stanley Norris
All Executive Management Members of the Local Authority
Staff members
A very good and glorious morning to you all,
Firstly, I am grateful to God who has entrusted us all with the task of leadership.
Secondly, I thank the political parties that have come together to finally constitute our Management Committee. It is a remarkable and selfless collaboration amongst the mature leaders of the opposition parties. Now is the time to hit the ground running and face the greatest challenge ahead for service delivery as the electorate demands services and accountability from us all more than ever. ATC ONE TEAM, ONE TEAM ATC, ARANDIS IS FOR US ALL. LET US MAKE OUR A-TOWN ARANDIS GREAT.
Thirdly, we all have unique capabilities and distinct leadership styles, it should be harnessed and synergized, and we should embrace change whenever it is required for better and greater outcomes. No one should ever feel entitled to hold position or title at the expense of service delivery to the community – that is selfish and destructive tendency and should be resisted by all means. True leadership is not about position or power; it is about purpose, empathy, and the responsibility we hold to uplift and empower our community.
In conclusion, let us embrace leadership and take it as a privilege and an opportunity to serve our community with dignity and respect. May we all strive to embody the spirit of service in our actions, ensuring that we leave a legacy of compassion and positive change for generations to come.
Let us work together as a team and deliver the promises we have made to the people for they are watching with Eagles’ eyes.
I THANK YOU”
The election proceedings took place at the Swakopmund Magistrate Court under the supervision of Magistrate S. Salionga
