Green Charcoal Namibia, established in 2021 in Arandis, Namibia, focuses on producing high-quality, sustainable charcoal from invasive plant species, specifically “bush” encroachment, to minimize deforestation and environmental impact. The company, a subsidiary of Carbobois, a European charcoal distributor, utilizes a 5-hectare site in Arandis for processing and packaging charcoal. Green Charcoal Namibia aims to create jobs, stimulate the local economy, and contribute to the reduction of the carbon footprint associated with traditional charcoal production.
