ARANDIS TOWN COUNCIL SOCIAL CLUB SHINES AT THE 14TH EDITION OF NALASRA GAMES IN KATIMA MULILO

The Arandis Town Council (ATC) Social Club proudly brought home three medals from the recently concluded 2025 NALASRA Games held in Katima Mulilo, showcasing the Council’s growing presence and competitiveness in national local authority sports.

In a spirit of unity and collaboration, ATC joined forces with the Swakopmund Municipality, forming a dynamic team that represented the Erongo Region with pride and determination. The combined effort demonstrated the power of teamwork, resilience, and regional solidarity.

ATC’s medalists included:

-Taleni Mulundu, who made history by winning the Silver Medal in the 10km Marathon—the first-ever marathon medal for Arandis Town Council at the NALASRA Games.

-Taleni Mulundu also secured a Bronze Medal in Netball, contributing to the team’s overall performance.

– Genovefa Sechele earned a Bronze Medal in Netball, further highlighting ATC’s strength in the sport.

The Chairperson of the Management Committee, Cllr. Cecilie //Hoabes on behalf of the honourable mayor, as well as the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Stanley Norris expressed their appreciation on behalf of the Council, congratulating the medalists and all participants for their hard work, discipline, and commitment. Mr. Norris informed that team that Arandis is proud. ‘’Your achievements reflect not only individual talent but the collective spirit of the Council and community. Let us continue to embrace this team spirit in all that we do,” he remarked at the Appreciation Ceremony held on Friday, 06 June 2025.

The Council is inspired by the performance and camaraderie displayed during the games and remains committed to supporting wellness and recreation among its staff. Participating in the NALASRA Games is not only about competition but also about fostering healthy lifestyles, strengthening bonds among local authorities, and promoting national unity through sport.
