ROSSING URANIUM INVESTS N$1.3 MILLION IN ARANDIS TOWN HALL AND SPORTS STADIUM

A significant step in community development was marked on 09 October 2025 with the official handover of a N$1,300,000.00 contribution from Rössing Uranium Limited to the Arandis Town Council. The ceremony, held at the Arandis Town Hall, will fund the phased renovation of the Town Hall and the Arandis Sports Stadium.

This contribution is a key part of the Arandis Town Council’s broader strategy to modernize and upgrade essential community infrastructure for its residents.

Speaking at the event, Mrs. Liezl Davies, General Manager for Human Capital, Safety and Sustainability at Rössing Uranium, reinforced the company’s deep-rooted commitment to the community.

“Our contribution is not just about infrastructure; it is about creating spaces where the community can gather, celebrate, and thrive,” said Mrs. Davies. “Rössing Uranium believes in building resilience and opportunity, and we are proud to stand alongside the people of Arandis on this journey of renewal.”

The Chairperson of the Management Committee of the Arandis Town Council, Hon. Cecilie //Hoabes, expressed her gratitude and highlighted the transformative power of the partnership.

“These facilities are more than buildings, they are the heart of our community, places where friendships are forged, dreams are nurtured, and our youth are empowered,” stated Hon. //Hoabes. “This collaboration with Rössing Uranium sets an example of how corporate and community partnerships can bring lasting transformation to Arandis.”

The Arandis Town Council acknowledged that Rössing Uranium’s support will directly enable the planned completion of the Town Hall renovations, securing this vital community hub for future generations.

Concurrently, the Council extends an appeal to additional stakeholders and partners to join this initiative, particularly in support of the subsequent phases of the Sports Stadium renovation. With collective effort, both projects can be fully realized, ensuring Arandis continues to grow as a center of unity, opportunity, and progress.
