Arandis Town Council and Office of the Governor Host Christmas Session for Pensioners

The Arandis Town Council, in collaboration with the Office of the Governor of the Erongo Region, celebrated the festive season with a special Christmas session for the pensioners of Arandis in the Town Hall on Monday, 18 December 2023. The event aimed to spread holiday cheer and express gratitude to the elderly members of the community.

The Office of the Governor generously sponsored food items valued at N$ 255,459.51, which were distributed among the pensioners in the form of carefully curated food parcels. These parcels were designed to ensure that each pensioner received a thoughtful and practical assortment of items.

Each Christmas food parcel included:

*1x 5kg Cake Flour

*1x 2.5kg White Sugar

*1x 5kg Top Score

*1x 750ml Cooking Oil

*1x 250g Five Roses Tea

*2x 2 liters Oros

*2x 900g Jam

*1x Knorr Soup Box of 10’s

*5x Pilchards cans

The food items were carefully packaged to guarantee a delightful and festive experience for the pensioners. The Governor of Erongo Region, the Honourable Neville Andre Itope’s commitment to sponsoring these items reflects a dedication to the well-being and happiness of the elderly residents in our community.

The office of the Mayor is pleased to announce and extend heartfelt gratitude to our esteemed stakeholders for their generous contributions towards the Mayoral Fund. In our pursuit of creating a successful and memorable occasion for our community, these contributions play a pivotal role, and we are deeply appreciative of the support.

Among our loyal stakeholders, we would like to express our sincere gratitute to Rossing Uranium Limited for their generous donation of N$ 10,000. The commitment from RUL to the betterment of our community is truly commendable, and we are honoured to have them as a valued partner in our endeavours.

Additionally, we extend our gratitude to Carbon 12 for their significant contribution of N$ 25,000 to the Mayoral Fund. Their dedication to the well-being and prosperity of our community is evident, and the support will undoubtedly contribute to the success of the events covered by the Mayoral Fund.

These donations are instrumental in ensuring that our event meet all if not some of the objectives and provide a positive and uplifting experience for our community members. The collective efforts of our stakeholders play a vital role in the realization of our shared goals, and we are thankful for the ongoing collaboration.
